Staying frugal this holiday season may pose a great challenge, but it is a feat that is possible to achieve. The arrival of the holiday season heralds the period to spend money. But did you know that you can save a lot of money if you apply for a travel credit card? Well, now you know that you can!

If you plan on making use of your credit card to pay for your holiday shopping, then it will be a wise move on your part to go for cards that will reward you for all your purchases. This holiday season is also the season of giving as well as receiving, and savvy credit card companies are riding on the waves of the season by offering some astronomical travel rewards freebies.

Therefore, here are some of the best travel reward cards that you should consider procuring this holiday season:

The CNBC recently named the Capital One Venture Card as the “best travel card” in 2018. That’s to let you know that their reputation precedes them. Therefore, if you plan on spending some money this season, transferring your spending into travel rewards will be one of the best decisions you have made this holiday season.

For instance, if you are a first-time cardholder and after spending at least $3,000 within three months, you will be rewarded with a mouthwatering 50,000 bonus miles!

Other travel perks include:

• Miles do not expire, and there is virtually no limit to the number of miles you can earn

On everyday purchases, you stand to receive two times the miles after you earn points. You will also be rewarded – by earning ten times the mile – if and when you book a qualified hotel partner. To cap it all, there is no fee for the first year!
